Training to be a Fitness Female Model

Fitness Female Models

I always wanted to be a compact, firm curvy fitness beauty! Unfortunately dreaming doesn't get you there. Since dreaming didn't get me there I knew I'd have to find a more realistic way. I decided to start lifting weights like Rachel McLish since I equated feminine beauty with Rachel. Bodybuilding females were not the norm when Rachel burst on the scene but soon became many females ideal of 'sexiness', it certainly became mine. Rachel must be in her 50's by now but as these photos show 26 years after winning the Ms. Olympia she still has it. Go to see these photos here.

I love working out and started lifting weights in the '80's mainly because I wanted a hot body when I became older. How many older women have warned you about the problems you'd face as you age? Plenty told me so I decided I wouldn't let that happen. I mean really who wouldn't want sleek sexy muscle tone instead of that unsightly cellulite. Not to mention it makes you feel way younger than you really are and at the same time look like a million dollars. Fitness training is also a good way to reduce and cope with stress by 'working out your negative emotions'.

Of course most people want the same thing however when it comes down to doing the work required that hot blazing fire of interest starts to sputter and cool. I've often wondered is it just because people don't know how to get started? The Fitness Female Model look can be achieved joining the gym or acquiring a few pieces of inexpensive equipment to work out at home. The secrets of weight training are available to everyone by hiring a personal trainer; purchasing an illustrated book or by using a workout DVD. Believe me there are secrets too; such as how to get the best results in the shortest amount of time. There is no need to do hours of cardio when you can build muscle and let your body burn that fat up even while your asleep. Who wants to spend all their time in a gym or sweating for hours a day? We have a life to live and I don't want to make mine all about working out, there is much more to life than that.

It really is a simple process to follow when you learn how to make the best use of your time. After you start noticing your body firming up you'll start striding and strutting with purpose and confidence that you've always dreamed about. Taking a holistic approach to fitness, health, and nutrition produces unbelievable fitness results that enable you to maximize success beyond just the physical, but in every area of your life. First things first - Make the decision you want to change!

  • Stand naked in front of a mirror and decide what would need to diminish and what needs to grow. It is time to measure waist, hips, thighs, arms, shoulders and write it in your workout journal. Write down what you want to accomplish so you will have a blueprint to follow and have something concrete to measure.

  • Decide you are changing your lifestyle (no fad dieting) to eat more fulfilling nutritious food more times a day (4-5 times). Enjoy your life while you have it!

  • Activate your lifestyle and have fun. Get out there and go biking; rollerblading; walking; dancing; hiking; play Frisbee with your dog.... whatever interests you and gets you moving. Our bodies were designed to move so use it for what it was made for. Go PLAY!

  • Keep workouts short and intense with a balanced mix of cardio and resistance training (weights, bodyweight).

  • Keep a consistent workout program going and always allow a day of rest after a heavier weight-training day.

  • Keep a written log of what you're doing so that you can adjust your program after analysis. It is easier if you can look back at the last two months to see what you've accomplished.

  • In 2-3 months check your measurements and write it down so that you can measure your progress. After you see it with your own eyes it will motivate you to continue with even greater gusto. It is hard to know where you're going if you don't know where you've been.

  • Please don't obsess about weighing yourself on a scale constantly. Muscle takes up less space than fat but it weighs more therefore is not a good tool for measuring. I would much rather weigh a few lbs more and look like Rachel. You are going to be a fitness goddess and should be concerned more about how your clothes are fitting your hard curvaceous body.

And finally let me end with this, all of us go through the stresses of life and whether it's too much eating or skipping a workout, don't beat yourself up about it. This is life and you will have challenges so adapt to the changes and don't let those negative voices get you off track. The little voices inside our heads that tell us that we can't do what we want. Yes, you can

Fight back! Results are what you are after whether it's better physical condition, to run faster, to be a better athlete, increasing your energy or simply taking your game to the next level.

One of the best ways to accomplishing any goal is to have a proven successful fitness guide to implement. Invest in the best investment you can make - yourself.
